About This Role

This role is for a Peritoneal Dialysis Nurse responsible for managing patient cases, providing education on Peritoneal Dialysis to patients and caregivers in a clinical setting, and ensuring ongoing treatment progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in an independent setting
• Assess, diagnose, and implement complete care plans while evaluating the whole patient
• Track and organize patient cases while acting as a case manager
• Empower patients by teaching them to administer their own dialysis
• Educate patients on dialysis options to expand the program and benefit more individuals
• Work independently while building deep relationships with patients, support systems, and care partners

Requirements

• Dialysis Experience
• Willingness to obtain Nevada RN license
• Willingness to travel between an entire division (Reno, NV to Bakersfield, CA)
• Current driver's license
• Reliable transportation and vehicle insurance in state of residence
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) or three-year diploma from accredited diploma program may be substituted

Nice to Have

• Previous Chronic Hemodialysis, Acute Dialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis (PD), or Home Hemodialysis (HHD) nursing experience
• Training/Teaching/Healthcare Education background
• Previous case management experience
• Familiarity with, or excitement to learn about telehealth technologies
