Registered Nurse: C&W Mott Childrens Hospital (PACU)

About This Role

Provide direct patient care to multiple pediatric populations including ICU, general care, and outpatient settings. This role involves maintaining airway, vital signs, monitoring EKG and arterial lines, and providing pain management and patient/family education.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to multiple pediatric populations (ICU, general care, and OP)
• Maintain airway, vital signs, monitoring EKG, arterial lines, and pain management (epidural and PCAs)
• Provide patient/family education
• Collaborate with all members of the health care team to meet complex care requirements of pediatric population
• Provide patient and family centered care
• Provide care inclusive of entire perioperative experience (pre-operative and post-op care, including discharge and phone triage)
• Fulfill on-call and weekend obligations

Requirements

• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan
• Two (2) years of PACU RN experience, Level 1 Pediatric ED RN experience, or Pediatric ICU RN experience within the last three (3) years

Qualifications

• BSN Preferred
• Two (2) years of PACU RN experience, Level 1 Pediatric ED RN experience, or Pediatric ICU RN experience within the last three (3) years

Nice to Have

• BSN Preferred
• PALS and ACLS certification
• CPAN/CAPA certified
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Prior experience providing patient-family centered care
