Registered Nurse

About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) for the Burnet ED will ensure regulatory compliance, provide direct patient care using clinical judgment, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. This role focuses on continuous performance improvement and advocacy for patient and family needs within a culturally inclusive framework.

Responsibilities

• Sustain a working understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards to ensure compliance
• Monitor and comply with safety and departmental policies and procedures
• Ensure all individual certifications and Safety College requirements are fulfilled in a timely basis
• Collect clinical data, follow algorithms, decision trees, and protocols to make appropriate patient care decisions
• Document plan of care, care delivered, and patient and family outcomes
• Integrate age-specific and culturally inclusive concepts into patient care
• Develop care goals and actions through partnerships with patients and families using self-management support
• Facilitate patient and family learning by providing structured education and evaluating effectiveness using teach back
• Implement clinical changes and research-based practices; recognize and respond to changing patient situations
• Participate in shared governance at the point-of-care and contribute to shared decision making

Requirements

• Associate/Diploma prepared RN from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution
• 2+ years of experience (if Associate/Diploma prepared)
• Active Ohio RN License

Qualifications

• Associate/Diploma prepared RN from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution
• 2+ years of experience for Associate/Diploma prepared RNs

• BSN from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution or MSN
