This Registered Nurse (RN) position provides high-quality, compassionate care to adult and pediatric hospice patients at Ava's House, focusing on symptom management and maintaining comfort and dignity at the end of life. The role involves planning, coordinating, and evaluating patient care within a collaborative interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate patient care, assessment, education, triage and other nursing interventions
- Collaborate with colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care
- Empathetically care for patients during all stages of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up along the continuum of care
- Demonstrate competency and use comprehensive nursing expertise
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Unencumbered RN license
- Ability to obtain and maintain department specific competencies and certifications
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- Newly graduated or experienced Registered Nurse
