Registered Nurse

About This Role

Provide safe, quality patient care in an Ambulatory Surgical Center and Clinic environment, demonstrating accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status on admission to preop area, operating room, post-op area, and on a continuing basis
• Provide safe, therapeutic quality care to patients utilizing the nursing process and nursing diagnosis
• Coordinate nursing interventions to enhance achievement of expected outcomes and ensure readiness for discharge
• Document interventions and patient's responses
• Ensure provision of patient care in an organized and timely manner
• Utilize nursing care standards when planning and implementing patient care
• Communicate appropriate information regarding patient conditions to those who require the information
• Safely carry out physician’s orders correctly and promptly, documenting all activities
• Initiate and participate in patient and family education, assessing learning needs
• Administer medication following regulation, providing clear documentation (medication, dosage, route, site, physician's order)

Requirements

• Current Arizona State R.N. License
• Minimum of 3 years professional nursing experience
• IV Sedation experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to generate creative and innovative approaches to solve problems
• Stable and capable of performing in emergency situations making immediate decisions and setting priorities
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
• Minimum of 3 years professional nursing experience; Clinic, Ambulatory Surgery Center, and pain experience preferred
