About This Role

Provide primary care to complex adult general medicine and telemetry patients on a 32-bed unit at University Hospital. Utilize the nursing process, geographical nursing, and hourly rounding to deliver high-quality patient care and supervise unlicensed personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to provide primary care to complex medicine patient population
  • Provide direct supervision of unlicensed personnel
  • Utilize bedside report as a standard of nursing care
  • Utilize geographical nursing as a standard of nursing care
  • Utilize hourly rounding as a standard of nursing care

Requirements

  • Current Michigan RN license (or successfully pass NCLEX within 45 days for GN applicants)

Nice to Have

  • BSN preferred
  • 6 months of RN experience (inpatient preferred)
  • Telemetry experience
  • 3-5 years experience with adult internal medicine/MFH patients
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership roles, charge nurse and/or preceptor
  • Demonstrated positive, effective professional communication skills
  • Demonstrated time management and problem solving skills
