This Registered Nurse position uses the nursing process to provide patient care within the acute neuro unit, delegating tasks and ensuring quality patient outcomes while adhering to professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Uses the nursing process effectively in the delivery of patient care.
- Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies for diverse patient and family needs.
- Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal).
- Serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
- Uses data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
- Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale.
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including respect for privacy and communication style.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to be self-directed
- Ability to demonstrate good judgement
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing preferred).
