Regional Security Supervisor

About This Role

Supervise and coordinate security officers at various construction yards safeguarding state critical energy infrastructure. Ensure adherence to security protocols, conduct site surveillance, and provide leadership to the security team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee security officers assigned to various construction yards for state's critical energy infrastructure
• Ensure only authorized individuals are given access to the site (Access Control)
• Patrol interior and/or exterior of buildings, looking for security, safety, or maintenance issues
• Monitor CCTV for safety and security concerns across the site
• Enforce rules and policies using de-escalation techniques and ensuring quality customer service
• Oversee and coach members of the DK Security team at various sites
• Manage scheduling and submit timesheets for payroll for team members
• Facilitate team-building and communicate with the corporate scheduler and operations manager
• Take initial disciplinary action and provide on-site training to staff

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and own personal vehicle
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• No felony convictions and able to pass a criminal background check
• Pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter
• Present a friendly, positive, and professional image
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Able to read and write in the English language and interpret documents
• Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office, Email, Internet, and new software)
• Willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified
• Own reliable vehicle for travel between Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids
• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record (less than 3 moving violations, less than 2 at-fault accidents, no other major violations in 3 years)
• Able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including long distances and stairs
• Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Readily able to respond to emergency situations
