Lead a sales team within a defined geographic region to achieve incremental sales targets and increase market penetration for Behr Paint Company. This role drives business growth by developing and leading a highly engaged sales team, managing revenue, market share, staffing, expenses, and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a sales team of 10–18 representatives within a specific region to meet business targets
- Deliver sales strategies, market penetration initiatives, and region-specific growth plans
- Build strong customer relationships and collaborative partnerships across teams
- Analyze sales performance, forecast regional trends, and recommend strategic improvements
- Hire, onboard, mentor, and retain top sales talent with a focus on continuous improvement
- Manage the assigned region’s revenue, market share, staffing, expenses & profitability
- Utilize budgeting, financial analysis, cost control, and CRM systems for data-informed decisions
- Adhere to Behr’s Strategic Deployment Plan and commitment to lean thinking
Requirements
- Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a sales team of 10–18 representatives
- Experience delivering sales strategies, market penetration initiatives, and region-specific growth plans
- Skilled in analyzing sales performance, forecasting, and recommending improvements
- Strong background in hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and retaining top sales talent
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent industry experience
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, financial analysis, cost control, and CRM systems
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel up to 50% (including overnight)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends/holidays
- Meet company motor vehicle policy requirements
- Commitment to lean thinking and continuous improvement processes
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency with CRM database management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent industry experience
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a sales team
