Receiver

About This Role

The Receiver at Soho House handles and processes all food and beverage stock, ensuring cleanliness of storage areas and an efficient flow of goods. This role involves documenting, storing, locating, and distributing stock while maintaining inventory and inspecting shipments.

Responsibilities

• Receive all perishable and non-perishable beverage and food orders
• Verify and document the quantity received of all produce, fruits, dry goods, liqueur, chemicals, and supplies
• Provide support to vendors and management in the receiving of all other supplies as needed
• Check received merchandise (quality and quantity) and reject unacceptable merchandise
• Distribute merchandise accordingly to food safety rules and storage orders
• Ensure the smooth working of FIFO of walk ins and freezer
• Conduct inventory as advised and communicate results to management
• Daily checklist with overnight porter
• Wipe down and sanitize all areas of bar storage to maintain a safe and healthy environment

Requirements

• Ability to read and write English
• Ability to read labels and following safety instructions
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ relative experience with a proven track record of leading a professional, efficient, high quality, service-oriented operation
