Bartender

About This Role

Serve as a Bartender at Soho House Austin, preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while providing excellent service and creating memorable experiences for guests. You will be responsible for professional behavior, positive energy, and contributing to a fun environment that drives conversation and sales.

Responsibilities

• Follow steps of service and company guidelines for preparing cocktails, juices, coffee, and other bar drinks
• Maintain a clean and organized bar section, including washing glassware and utensils
• Educate guests and members about beverage options through House Tonic trainings
• Discuss and describe daily specials, seasonally influenced menu items, and food pairing options
• Collect payment for sold items and operate a cash register
• Check identification for age requirements and monitor alcohol consumption
• Arrange bottles and glasses for attractive displays to promote beverages
• Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner
• Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies, delegating replenishment tasks to Barbacks
• Mix ingredients according to drink recipes to ensure a globally unified beverage program and consistent experience

Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience working in high-volume F&B operation
• Craft cocktail experience
• Experience working with seasonally influenced perishable items
• Ability to multitask and deliver drink requests in a timely and efficient manner
• Strong communication and people skills
• Flexible schedule and reliable
• Tips certified

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience working in high-volume F&B operation

Nice to Have

• Experience making coffee drinks
• Micros experience
