About This Role

This role involves preparing and serving beverages to guests in a bar area, adhering to liquor regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized bar for a leading provider of dining and event catering.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
• Set up assigned bars; requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce
• Maintain stock, prepare, cure and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
• Greet guests in a courteous, friendly manner
• Take and/or process orders for drinks; mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practice prudent portion control
• Check guests at the bar for proper identification
• Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained; demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws
• Receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed
• Lock up and store all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits and cash drops; secure bank
• Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keep work area clean and organized
