About This Role

A Host at Soho House plays a crucial role in managing guest flow and enhancing the member experience by providing excellent service, from initial greeting and seating, to supporting the floor team.

Responsibilities

• Welcome members and guests in a hospitable manner
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests timely and efficiently
• Manage the Opera/OpenTable booking system for seating
• Address member concerns in real-time and notify management
• Build relationships with members and communicate feedback to the team
• Support the floor team in preparing tables with linens, cutlery, and glasses
• Provide detailed information on menu items, including food, drink, allergies, and pairings
• Resolve member complaints with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism
• Uphold discretion and professionalism, especially when serving VIPs
• Contribute to team success by attending briefings, tastings, and assisting colleagues

Requirements

• 2-3 years' experience in a similar capacity
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments
• Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service
• Respectful towards colleagues and guests
• Competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience in a similar capacity
