About This Role

Negotiate and acquire real estate for public use, and manage real property within Engineering District 10-0 for the Department of Transportation. This role involves collecting documents, verifying ownership, and defining property boundaries to support comprehensive plan development.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and acquire real estate designated for public use
  • Oversee the management of real property within Engineering District 10-0
  • Collect essential documents such as tax maps, deeds, and other pertinent information related to property ownership from public records in county courthouses
  • Verify ownership of properties
  • Accurately define property boundaries in the field to facilitate the development of comprehensive plans

Requirements

  • One year as a Real Estate Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
  • OR Two years of technical real estate experience and an associate degree
  • OR An equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Possession of an active Class C driver’s license or equivalent
  • Meet PA residency requirement
  • Ability to perform essential job functions

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of experience and training
  • One year as a Real Estate Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title) OR two years of technical real estate experience
