Perform x-ray testing and Medical Assistant duties for patients in an urgent care setting. This role involves operating diagnostic equipment and preparing rooms, while also communicating with patients and assisting with their care under the supervision of a provider.
Responsibilities
- Perform x-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Operate diagnostic equipment, develop film, and prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies
- Perform Medical Assistant duties, including obtaining and documenting vital signs, weight, and patient history
- Promptly greet patients and communicate wait times, providing direction in the treatment process
- Provide solutions to patient problems and recognize/seek help in emergent/hazardous situations
- Execute follow-up calls with urgency
- Assist front desk personnel with patient check-in/out procedures
- Assist with patient transfers and procedures directly supervised by the provider
- Perform timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician
- Perform necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, following clinical and regulatory procedures for patient safety and care
- Ensure equipment is in proper working order and report malfunctions
- Maintain and improve diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with educational resources
- Maintain current licensure and certification for facility radiology equipment and licensure
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BLS Certification
- AR State X-Ray License
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
