Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)

About This Role

Join Baptist Health Urgent Care as an LPN or RN to assist physicians with patient care, including medical histories, injections, lab requests, and medication administration. This role contributes to patient comfort and well-being within a dynamic healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and prepare them for examination or procedure
• Record health history and note abnormal conditions for the physician
• Instruct patients on collection of samples and tests
• Obtain vital signs and escort patients to rooms
• Assist with preparation of supplies and equipment during treatment, examination, and testing of patients
• Administer injections and prescribed medications as directed by physician
• Observe, record, and report patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments
• Ensure accurate and timely patient chart entries and maintain patient files
• Assist with scheduling tests and treatments, and arrange specialist referrals with pre-authorizations
• Collect, document, and deliver lab specimens and obtain lab test results

Requirements

• Degree from an accredited school of nursing
• AR State or Compact LPN or RN License
• BLS Certification
