Medical Assistant or Limited License X-Ray Tech - PRN

About This Role

Provide clinical and administrative support to ensure exceptional patient care by preparing patients, taking vitals, assisting providers, and maintaining accurate records, contributing to the overall efficiency of Baptist Health Urgent Care.

Responsibilities

• Promptly greet patients when entering waiting area, exam room, laboratory, or x-ray room
• Consistently communicate with patients on wait times and provide direction to the next step in the treatment process
• Provide solutions to patient problems and recognize/seek help in emergent/hazardous situations
• Execute follow-up calls with a sense of urgency
• Assist front desk personnel with patient check-in/out procedures when necessary
• Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs and weight, take brief history, past medical, family and social history, current medications, allergies, and other pertinent historical information
• Assist with patient transfers
• Assist with procedures directly supervised by the provider
• Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient visits

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Certified Medical Assistant
• Willingness to get AR Limited X-Ray License
