Perform X-ray testing and Medical Assistant duties as an ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technologist, using knowledge of anatomy and physiology to ensure quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform x-ray testing, including body mechanics and patient movement, using knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Operate diagnostic equipment and develop film
- Prepare the x-ray room with necessary equipment and supplies
- Perform Medical Assistant duties
- Promptly greet patients and communicate wait times
- Provide solutions to patient problems and recognize emergent situations
- Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs, weight, history, medications, and allergies
- Assist with patient transfers and procedures directly supervised by the provider
- Follow documentation procedures for patient visits and radiology procedures
- Perform necessary quality control procedures for exams
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, following clinical and regulatory safety protocols
- Ensure equipment is in proper working order and report malfunctions
- Maintain and improve diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills
- Responsible for maintaining current licensure and certification for facility radiology equipment and licensure
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BLS Certification
- AR State X-Ray License
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
