Perform X-ray testing and Medical Assistant duties for an urgent care center, ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation for subsequent evaluation and treatment by physicians.
Responsibilities
- Perform x-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Operate diagnostic equipment, develop film and prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies for procedures
- Perform Medical Assistant duties, including greeting patients, communicating wait times, and assisting with check-in/out procedures
- Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs, weight, history, medications, and allergies
- Assist with patient transfers and procedures directly supervised by the provider
- Perform timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician
- Perform necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory procedures regarding patient safety and care, including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques
- Ensure equipment is in proper working order and report any malfunctions to the Manager or provider on duty
- Maintain current licensure and certification for the facility radiology equipment and licensure
Requirements
- Experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Tech
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BLS Certification
- AR State X-Ray License
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Techs; experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred
