About This Role

Perform X-ray testing and Medical Assistant duties for an urgent care center, ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation for subsequent evaluation and treatment by physicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform x-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology
• Operate diagnostic equipment, develop film and prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies for procedures
• Perform Medical Assistant duties, including greeting patients, communicating wait times, and assisting with check-in/out procedures
• Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs, weight, history, medications, and allergies
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures directly supervised by the provider
• Perform timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician
• Perform necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory procedures regarding patient safety and care, including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques
• Ensure equipment is in proper working order and report any malfunctions to the Manager or provider on duty
• Maintain current licensure and certification for the facility radiology equipment and licensure

Requirements

• Experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Tech
• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification
• AR State X-Ray License

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Techs; experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred

Nice to Have

• ARRT Certification preferred
• Experience as a Medical Assistant
