QC Chemist (Pharmaceutical)

About This Role

This QC Chemist (Pharmaceutical) will perform quality control testing on raw materials and finished pharmaceutical products, analyze data, and ensure regulatory compliance within a CDMO setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct QC testing on raw materials and finished products (including tablets, capsules, and other dosage forms) using techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FT-IR, dissolution, and particle size analysis
• Analyze, interpret, and document analytical data while maintaining accurate laboratory records
• Adhere to regulatory requirements, including FDA and EMA standards
• Operate, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on analytical instruments and lab equipment
• Partner with cross-functional groups such as R&D and manufacturing to support product development and release activities
• Offer technical guidance and assist with training for junior team members when needed

Requirements

• 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical analytical laboratory
• Strong working knowledge of HPLC/UPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FT-IR, and dissolution testing
• Solid documentation practices aligned with cGMP requirements
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot analytical methods and instrumentation
• Strong attention to detail with effective problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline
• 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical analytical laboratory

Nice to Have

• Prior experience within a CDMO environment
• Exposure to ingestible powder and oral solid dosage testing
• Understanding of global regulatory standards and quality systems
