Senior Accountant

About This Role

Manage all aspects of accounting, including month-end close processes, journal entries, and bank reconciliations for a leading logistics and transportation company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close procedures, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper documentation
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
• Assist with audits and tax filings
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
