Senior Accountant

About This Role

Join our team in Lafayette, California as a Senior Accountant, where you will ensure accurate financial reporting and maintain the integrity of accounting records. Your expertise will contribute to month-end processes and reconciliation tasks.

Responsibilities

• Complete detailed account reconciliations and analyses, promptly resolving discrepancies and ensuring timely entry of all transactions
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and understand key accounting standards such as ASC 606 and ASC 842
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including monthly reconciliation and analysis
• Assist with annual audit preparation by creating schedules, addressing auditor requests, and coordinating with external audit teams
• Identify and support improvements to balance sheet reconciliation processes
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and perform other assigned duties

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and ERP systems
