Deliver client care and promote the safety and well-being of clients within a 24-hour framework at McCann Treatment Center. Engage clients and families in a therapeutic alliance and provide therapeutic interventions as directed.
Responsibilities
- Deliver client care that promotes safety and well-being of all clients in the assigned department(s)
- Provide a healthy, safe structured environment
- Engage clients and families in a therapeutic alliance
- Provide therapeutic interventions as directed
- Function as an active member of the McCann staff
- Assist with escorting clients within Bethel and outside of Bethel, when needed
- Actively participate in client social, educational and therapeutic activities
- Write progress reports on clients, which accurately reflect client progress
- Read medication administration records
- Appropriately respond to aggressive and violent client behaviors
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to take direction and have a commitment to learning
- Basic computer knowledge, accuracy and dependability
- Ability to work residential treatment environments
- Ability to write progress reports on clients
- Ability to read medication administration records
- Ability to add and subtract money
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with rapidly changing situations
- Ability to understand and apply variety of instruction furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to appropriately respond to aggressive and violent client behaviors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Working with children preferred
