Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

About This Role

Deliver patient care by applying the nursing process, directing and coordinating care for patients based on nursing practice standards. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality, cost-effective care and optimal patient outcomes, serving as a resource person when needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on nursing practice standards
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide quality, cost-effective, and efficient care
• Achieve the best possible patient outcome
• Serve as a resource person when the situation requires
• Apply age-specific considerations and cultural diversity when rendering patient care
• Support Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation’s mission statement
• Care for all patients from birth to elderly

Requirements

• Graduation from an NLN approved nursing program
• Current BLS & ACLS certification
• Alaska Registered Professional Nurse License in good standing
• Pass and maintain PALS within 6 months of hire
• Pass and maintain TNCC and ENPC within 1 year of hire
• Ability to pass and maintain required competencies

Qualifications

• Program of education in nursing from an NLN approved institution
• Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience preferred

Nice to Have

• 2 years of Emergency Department experience
