Deliver patient care by applying the nursing process, directing and coordinating care for patients based on nursing practice standards. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality, cost-effective care and optimal patient outcomes, serving as a resource person when needed.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care through assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on nursing practice standards
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide quality, cost-effective, and efficient care
- Achieve the best possible patient outcome
- Serve as a resource person when the situation requires
- Apply age-specific considerations and cultural diversity when rendering patient care
- Support Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation’s mission statement
- Care for all patients from birth to elderly
Requirements
- Graduation from an NLN approved nursing program
- Current BLS & ACLS certification
- Alaska Registered Professional Nurse License in good standing
- Pass and maintain PALS within 6 months of hire
- Pass and maintain TNCC and ENPC within 1 year of hire
- Ability to pass and maintain required competencies
Qualifications
- Program of education in nursing from an NLN approved institution
- Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience preferred
Nice to Have
- 2 years of Emergency Department experience
