About This Role

Join a multidisciplinary team providing integrated behavioral health treatment to clients, taking ownership of pharmacological intervention through psychiatric evaluations and medication management. Serve adult and senior adult clients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

  • Complete initial psychiatric evaluations and assess mental and physical health status at routine appointments
  • Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, educating clients and their support system about purpose, dosage, and side effects
  • Collaborate with each client to create an individualized treatment plan
  • Educate staff, clients, and community partners about individual mental health needs
  • Follow trauma-informed principles in all aspects of client care
  • Assess clients for safety and risk to self or others, taking appropriate crisis intervention measures
  • Complete all documentation and charting in a timely, client-centered manner
  • Participate in on-call and rounding rotations for inpatient facilities in Yakima
  • Provide treatment via telehealth to other clinics as needed

Requirements

  • Master's or doctorate degree in nursing or nursing practice with psychiatric mental health specialization
  • Two years of experience as a psychiatric prescriber for the designated age group
  • Registered Nurse license in Washington
  • Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license in Washington
  • Federal DEA registration
  • First Aid & CPR certification
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle liability insurance
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or approved exemption

Qualifications

  • Master's or doctorate degree in nursing or nursing practice with psychiatric mental health specialization
  • Two years of experience as a psychiatric prescriber for the designated age group
