Provide psychiatric services to patients in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities, focusing on initial and follow-up consults with minimal administrative tasks. Work semi-autonomously with support from psychiatrists and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial and follow-up psychiatric consults in assigned facilities
- Complete light clinical documentation using streamlined note templates
- Participate in a telephone-based on-call schedule (approx. 1 weeknight in 7 and less than one weekend/month)
- Manage minimal administrative responsibilities, primarily clinical documentation and billing submission
Requirements
- MD APRN license
- MD DEA
- AANP certification (must be PMHNP)
- Active and unrestricted license
- Effective oral and written communication in English
- Basic proficiency with technology, including electronic health records (EHR)
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to regulatory compliance
- Ability to provide in-person services at assigned facilities
- Ability to walk, stand, and move between patient rooms and offices within the facility throughout the day
Qualifications
- Experience prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications is very strongly preferred
