About This Role

Provide comprehensive psychiatric care as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and offering hybrid work options.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning in accordance with professional statutes and regulations
• Collaborate with staff psychiatrist, nursing staff, counselors, and technical personnel
• Prescribe medications and provide medication management
• Order, interpret, and explain laboratory tests
• Provide psychiatric health services, counseling, and emotional support
• Refer patients for inpatient care when necessary
• Educate patients on medications, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes
• Provide follow-up care and ongoing communication
• Deliver primary medical care services as indicated

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with Psychiatric/Mental Health specialization
• Minimum of three (3) years of related experience
• Active New York State license as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
