PRN Registered Nurse

About This Role

Manage patient care for assigned individuals by applying nursing knowledge and skills, utilizing evidence-based guidelines and resources. The role involves monitoring patient symptoms, administering medications, documenting progress, and educating patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage the care of assigned patients using knowledge, skills, judgment, and decision-making for the specific area and patient population
• Deliver patient care utilizing standardized evidenced based guidelines of care and appropriate resources, including personnel, services, supplies and equipment
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
• Administer medications and document all encounters and progress notes
• Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
• Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
• Educate care plans, provide emotional support and advise to patients and their family members

Requirements

• Good standing RN License for the state of South Carolina without limitations
• BLS and ALS/ACLS Certified
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
