About This Role

This role protects critical government facilities and personnel, including The White House Complex and foreign diplomatic missions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area
  • Travel in support of Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions
  • Enforce mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship
  • At least 21 years old at the time of application and under 40 at referral (exceptions apply for federal law enforcement)
  • Ability to carry and use a firearm and maintain proficiency
  • Uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular, corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye
  • Hearing loss no more than 25 decibels in 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges, able to hear whispered voice at 15 feet
