Physical Therapist (PT)

About This Role

Implement treatment programs for pediatric patients with various disabilities or delays, providing high-quality care and education to families in a home and community setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations, interpret assessment results, and develop appropriate goals for pediatric patients.
• Create and implement physical therapy treatment plans in conjunction with the physician.
• Assist pediatric patients in developing or regaining physical, neurological, cognitive, and/or social/emotional functioning.
• Educate, coach, and empower caregivers and families to carry over therapeutic activities into the child's daily routine.
• Coordinate with referral partners to provide services in accordance with physician orders.
• Design and instruct patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs to assure continuation of the therapeutic plan following discharge.
• Document patient care services and care coordination in an electronic medical record system.
• Maintain patient confidence by keeping information confidential.

Requirements

• State license as a Physical Therapist
• Current CPR certification

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience preferred

Nice to Have

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric physical therapy
