About This Role

Implement and administer speech therapy services for pediatric patients in a home and community setting. Assist with cognitive, speech, language, feeding/swallowing, and social/emotional development. Empower caregivers with therapeutic activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality care by performing evaluations and interpreting assessment results
  • Develop goals appropriate to individual child needs
  • Create and implement speech therapy treatment plans in conjunction with the physician
  • Implement skilled interventions to maximize patient potential
  • Participate in educating, coaching, and empowering caregivers and families
  • Coordinate with referral partners to provide services in accordance with physician orders
  • Assure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing and instructing home exercise programs
  • Document patient care services and care coordination in an electronic medical record system
  • Maintain patient confidence by keeping information confidential

Requirements

  • ASHA certification
  • State License
  • Current CPR certification

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
