The Physical Therapist will plan, evaluate, organize, and implement Physical Therapy treatment programs for patients ranging from infants to adults in a fast-paced hospital setting. This role focuses on providing developmentally and age-appropriate care while contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Complete patient evaluations and reassessments according to hospital and department guidelines
- Develop individualized plans of care based on evaluation/reassessment findings
- Provide clinical support to assigned outpatient clinics or specialty programs
- Offer successful mentorship opportunities to less experienced staff in areas of specialty
- Document patient information accurately in the Electronic Medical Record
- Provide clinical leadership as a clinical instructor for professional students
- Inform management of unsafe situations, patient/personal injury, and unusual circumstances
- Actively participate in the development and gathering of Quality Improvement information
Requirements
- Degree in Physical Therapy
- PT certification from the state of Texas
Qualifications
- Degree in Physical Therapy
Nice to Have
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- 2 years clinical experience
- 1-year medical residency experience
