Front Office Specialist II / Medical Assistant

About This Role

This role will support a fast-paced urgent care setting by performing both clinical and non-clinical duties, providing direct care to pediatric patients, and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the collection of patient/family data including biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, and environmental information per site protocol
• Collect and document vital signs, height/weight, and reason for visit
• Graph data per site protocol
• Document current medications, allergies, and other information per site protocol with 100% accuracy
• Coordinate referrals, ensuring the family has contact information and necessary documentation
• Provide general patient care
• Administer medication and immunizations
• Collect specimens and perform laboratory tests
• Provide operational support, perform reception duties, and screen phone calls
• Review billing information and process patient payments
• Maintain integrity of medical records and monitor patient information and other practice data

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent
• BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association
• 2 years related experience

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years related experience

Nice to Have

• Graduation from a medical assisting or emergency medical technician program
