Manage non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience, while supervising and developing pharmacy technician personnel.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities to ensure efficient workflow.
- Oversee the selection, scheduling, training, and performance management of pharmacy technician personnel.
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving complaints, and answering non-clinical questions.
- Assist pharmacists in patient care delivery including registration, data entry, medication preparation, counting, and verifying.
- Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
- Manage core pharmacy workflow, coordinate daily schedule, and assure the pharmacy is clean, neat, and stocked.
- Manage annual inventory preparation and ensure compliance with administrative activities and inventory management.
- Drive new technology/process roll-outs and assure proper operation and maintenance of pharmacy equipment.
- Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims, resolve customer issues, and prevent payment rejections.
- Assist Store Manager and Pharmacy Manager in analyzing and improving pharmacy financials, quality, and customer service.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico)
- 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours
- Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting
Nice to Have
- Previous people management/leadership experience
- Previous work experience with Walgreens with an Exceeding Expectation on last performance evaluation
