Pharmacy Intern

About This Role

This role involves learning to provide excellent patient care by assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team, utilizing pharmacy systems to process prescriptions, and mastering customer service best practices.

Responsibilities

• Learn to provide the best patient experience through assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team members
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Learn and champion pharmacy policy, procedures, and customer service best practices
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Assist pharmacists and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care and services within state scope of practice
• Report prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adhere to Company policies
• Process sales on assigned cash register, collect and handle cash as required
• Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist

Requirements

• Enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
