About This Role

This role provides pharmacy consulting services to customers, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications and offering preventive healthcare services. It supports efficient pharmacy workflow, manages inventory, and enhances the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, interactions, and preventive healthcare services including immunizations
• Ensure proper compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications within regulatory guidelines and company policies
• Engage customers, resolve issues, and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members
• Counsel patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and over-the-counter products, referring to medical providers as needed
• Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management
• Ensure pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations, company policies, and standards
• Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy information technology and systems
• Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims and follow-up with insurance companies and medical providers
• Perform retail, clinical, and wellness services such as immunizations and diabetes awareness

Requirements

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree prior to start date
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 90 days of hire
• Willingness to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited educational institution
