Pharmacy Customer Service Associate

About This Role

This role delivers a delightful customer experience by processing sales, assisting pharmacists in dispensing medication, and managing pharmacy operations, contributing to patient care and efficient store function.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Register sales on assigned cash register and provide efficient checkout service
• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy
• Utilize pharmacy systems to obtain patient information, process prescriptions, and enter drug information
• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Recommend items for sale to customers, including trade-up and/or companion items
• Keep counters and shelves clean, merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medication, and checking for interactions
• Process manual claims for third party program prescription services and perform other clerical duties

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
• Good math skills for accurate prescription filling (counting, measuring, weighing medications)
• Good computer skills
• Knowledge of store inventory control

Certifications
