Pharmacy Customer Service Associate

About This Role

This role delivers a distinctive customer experience in a retail pharmacy setting, supporting the pharmacist in processing prescriptions and managing operations.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Register sales on assigned cash register and provide efficient checkout service
• Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with regulations
• Utilize pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs
• Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist
• Process manual claims for third party program prescription services
• Assist and support Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
• Good math skills
• Good computer skills
• Knowledge of store inventory control
