Pharmacy Customer Service Associate

About This Role

This role delivers distinguished customer service, operates cash registers, and assists pharmacists with prescription processing and inventory management to ensure efficient pharmacy operations and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Register sales on assigned cash register and provide efficient checkout service
• Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under direct supervision, in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Recommend items for sale to customer and recommend trade-up and/or companion items
• Keep counters and shelves clean, well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records
• Perform duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist and Store Manager, including entering patient/drug information and filling prescriptions
• Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
• Good math skills to accurately fill prescriptions
• Good computer skills
• Knowledge of store inventory control
