Pharmacy Customer Service Associate

About This Role

Provide a distinctive customer experience by assisting pharmacists, processing prescriptions, and handling sales transactions while maintaining pharmacy operations and adherence to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by greeting customers and offering assistance.
• Register sales on assigned cash register, process voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient information and process prescriptions.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, fill prescriptions, and check for possible interactions.
• Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist.
• Process manual claims for third party program prescription services.
• Assist and support Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities.
• Maintain counters and shelves, take inventory, and check in and price merchandise.
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure clean and orderly store conditions.

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (Except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
• Good math skills for accurate prescription filling
• Good computer skills
• Knowledge of store inventory control
