Pharmacy Customer Service Associate

About This Role

Deliver excellent customer service and assist pharmacists in vital pharmacy operations, including processing prescriptions and managing inventory, within a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Register sales on assigned cash register, providing efficient checkout service
• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy
• Utilize pharmacy systems to obtain patient/drug information and process prescriptions
• Engage customers and patients, offering assistance with products and services
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Reconcile voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
• Perform duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, including filling prescriptions and checking for interactions
• Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist
• Assist and support Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
• Good math skills
• Good computer skills
• Knowledge of store inventory control
• PTCB certification
