Pharmacy Customer Service Associate

About This Role

Provide a distinctive and delightful customer experience by registering sales, assisting with purchases, and performing pharmacy support activities under direct supervision of a pharmacist, adhering to all regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Register sales on assigned cash register and provide efficient checkout service
• Assist the pharmacist by using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions
• Engage customers and patients, offering assistance with products and services, and resolving issues
• Recommend items for sale and suggest trade-up or companion items
• Keep counters and shelves clean, well merchandised, and accurately inventoried
• Perform pharmacy duties such as entering patient/drug information, filling prescriptions, and verifying medications
• Handle telephone calls that do not require a pharmacist's personal attention
• Assist and support the Pharmacy Department with inventory management activities
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
• Good math skills
• Good computer skills
• Knowledge of store inventory control
