Pharmacy Customer Service Associate

About This Role

Deliver excellent customer service in a pharmacy setting, assisting customers and pharmacists with sales, prescriptions, and general store operations. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Register sales on assigned cash register and process various transactions
• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with regulations
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions
• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records
• Check in and price merchandise as required or directed by store manager
• Fulfill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine, and checking for interactions
• Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
• Good math skills for accurate prescription filling (counting, measuring, weighing)
• Good computer skills
• Knowledge of store inventory control
• PTCB certification
