Pharmacy Customer Service Associate

About This Role

This role delivers a delightful customer experience by processing sales, assisting with pharmacy operations under direct supervision, and ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Register sales on assigned cash register, providing courteous and efficient checkout service
• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient/drug information and process prescriptions
• Engage customers and patients, resolving issues and answering questions
• Recommend items for sale, including trade-up and/or companion items
• Perform duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager related to prescription filling and workflow
• Report prescription errors to pharmacist on duty immediately and adhere to Company policies
• Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist
• Assist and support Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise
• Assist with interior and exterior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance
• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
• Good math skills for accurate prescription filling (counting, measuring, weighing)
• Good computer skills
• Knowledge of store inventory control
• PTCB certification
