Pharmacy Cashier

About This Role

This role delivers a distinctive customer experience by registering sales, assisting with purchases, and resolving customer issues in a pharmacy setting. It involves retail operations while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Register sales on assigned cash register and provide efficient checkout service
• Engage customers and patients, offering assistance with products and services
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
• Recommend items for sale and assist with OTC products, directing customers to aisles
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient prescription status
• Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records
• Check in and price merchandise as directed by management

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
