Pharmacy Cashier

About This Role

Serve customers by processing sales transactions, resolving issues, and providing an efficient checkout service within a pharmacy retail environment. This role ensures customer satisfaction while adhering to operational standards and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Register sales on assigned cash register and provide courteous checkout service
• Engage customers and patients, offering assistance with products and services
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members
• Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers
• Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
• Recommend items for sale and assist with OTC products
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient prescription status
• Report prescription errors to pharmacist on duty immediately
• Keep counters and shelves clean, merchandised, and maintain records
• Implement Company asset protection procedures
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned
• Attend training and complete PPLs as requested by Manager or corporate

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
