Pharmacy Cashier

About This Role

This role delivers a distinctive customer experience by engaging with customers, registering sales, and resolving issues at the cash register. It supports pharmacy operations and ensures store maintenance and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Register sales on assigned cash register and provide efficient checkout service
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
• Recommend items for sale to customer and recommend trade-up and/or companion items
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient prescription status
• Report prescription errors immediately to pharmacist on duty
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records
• Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
