Pharmacy Cashier

About This Role

This role delivers a delightful customer experience, accurately processes sales, and assists with pharmacy operations at Walgreens.

Responsibilities

• Register sales on assigned cash register and provide efficient checkout service
• Engage customers, offer assistance, and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members
• Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges
• Recommend items for sale and assist with OTC products
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient prescription status
• Report prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adhere to Company policies
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records
• Implement Company asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
• Construct and maintain displays, complete resets and revisions
• Assist with interior and exterior maintenance to ensure clean store appearance
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned
• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
