Pharmacy Cashier

About This Role

This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing sales transactions accurately, and supporting pharmacy operations to ensure a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Register sales on an assigned cash register and provide efficient checkout service to customers
• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
• Recommend items for sale to customers, including trade-up and companion items
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient prescription status
• Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, maintaining inventory and records
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
