About This Role

This role involves engaging with clients in social services and case management to support their housing and recovery goals, coordinating care, and serving as a liaison between clients and community providers. The position requires assisting individuals with skill-building, providing referrals, and helping them manage daily frustrations and anxieties.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients in social services and case management to support them through their housing and recovery goals
  • Assist clients with skill building
  • Provide relevant referrals and assist with coordinating care
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and community providers for housing, job assistance, and additional treatment services
  • Work in coordination with the clinical team to support the holistic needs of both couples and individuals
  • Escort and assist clients in going to HRA, Social Security and other related appointments
  • Educate clients about self-help techniques and self-help group processes
  • Teach effective coping strategies based on personal experience
  • Help clients learn to manage frustrations and anxieties
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences

Requirements

  • H.S. diploma/ GED
  • Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA)
  • Training and/or experience in homeless services, substance abuse treatment, or mental health services
  • Basic computer literacy

Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/ GED
